Olga is a New York City based co-founder of 10×10 Photobooks, an organization with the mission to foster engagement with the global photobook community through appreciation, dissemination and understanding of photobooks. She is also a contributing writer for Collector Daily. Olga is the founder of the Facebook group Photobooks, a forum for public discussion of various aspects of photobook culture. She also organizes photobook events in New York City and writes for her blog phot(o)lia which features titles from her growing collection.
Franklin Furnace
In 1976 the artist Martha Wilson founded Franklin Furnace to champion ephemeral forms neglected by mainstream arts institutions. The organization has developed a place in art history for artist books, temporary installation art, performance art and researched the history of the contemporary artist book. In September, 2014 Franklin Furnace signed an organization-in-residence “nesting” agreement with Pratt Institute. The purpose of which is to facilitate mutual pedagogical and physical access to these Brooklyn-based organizations’ resources and to foster the development of ambitious collaborative projects.
The Museum of Modern Art Library
MoMA library is a comprehensive collection devoted to modern and contemporary art. The non-circulating collection documents painting, sculpture, drawings, prints, photography, architecture, design, performance, video, film and emerging art forms from 1880 to the present. The Library’s holdings include approximately 300,000 books and exhibition catalogs, over 1,000 periodical titles, and over 40,000 files of ephemera about individual artists and groups.
